Foraging & Campfire Cooking Course

The land at Carlton has been under the stewardship of the same family since the Doomsday Book. Thus, the 258 acres of park and woodland have been home to wonderful specimen trees, the most spectacular display of wild bluebells in the spring and of course a spectacular collection of edible plants, nuts, fruit and fungi. When Lisa Cutcliffe our expert forager first explored the park and woods she was so excited by the extraordinary diversity and availability of forgeable food.

Come along and spend a day with Lisa learning how to spot your Chantrel from your ink cap or borage from lovage. Then enjoy cooking over an open fire in the woods next to our log cabin, an ideal shelter for those less adventurous.
