Foraging & Campfire Cooking Course

The land at Carlton has been under the stewardship of the same family since the Doomsday Book. Thus, the 258 acres of park and woodland have been home to wonderful specimen trees, the most spectacular display of wild bluebells in the spring and a spectacular collection of edible plants, nuts, fruit and fungi. When Lisa Cutcliffe, our expert forager, first explored the park and woods she was so excited by the extraordinary diversity and availability of forageable food.

Come along and spend a day with Lisa learning how to spot a chanterelle from a shaggy ink cap or borage from lovage. Then enjoy cooking over an open fire in the woods next to our gorgeous log cabin, an ideal shelter for those less adventurous.

Suitable for parties up to 20 people, minimum 8 people.

Overnight accommadation available.
