Bread, the food of life for as long as man has had the ability to grind or mill flour, from the Egyptians to modern day, a must for the sustenance of any family.

Come along to the Carlton Towers, Cooks at Carlton and spend the day learning to separate your sour dough from you Spelt, your Rye from your Brioche.

Work under the tutorage of a master baker, in the original kitchens hear at Carlton. Whilst waiting for your dough to rise, relax with a cup of tea in the Housekeeper’s Sitting Room or take a walk in the park to see our woodland pigs, Wensledale sheep, or Belted Galloway Cattle. Stroll through the walled vineyard calling in to the micro-brewery for a refreshing glass of ale. Does life get any better?
