“We had our dream wedding on the 21st of October 2021 and everything was literally perfect. We were luckily enough to just about escape all the covid restrictions.
We originally booked our wedding almost 2 years ago just a few weeks before the pandemic officially started. Throughout the whole two-year period Janet and the rest of the team at Carlton Towers have been an absolute rock, they were always there to offer reassurance and make any changes. Even though it felt like the whole country was shutting down there was always someone at Carlton Towers to talk to us.”
All in all, we couldn’t have found a better venue for our wedding and all our guests are still raving about it weeks later. We cannot thank Carlton enough for making our dreams come true.
“When the big day finally arrived, we barely had to lift a finger. We wrote an itinerary for Janet 2 weeks before containing the details for all our contractors and the time they should arrive. From this Carlton handled the rest and absolutely nailed it! By the time we came up to the main house from the cottages in the morning everything was ready and anything that needed confirming was discussed over a drink in the bar which Carlton very kindly opened early for us. If any issues arose on the day, Carlton dealt with them quickly and professionally so none of our guests noticed. An example of this was when my beautiful wife got wrapped up in the moment of her surprise horse and carriage that she left her flowers in the cottage and only realised just before walking down the aisle. Carlton Towers quickly jumped into action and drove to the cottage to collect them putting them in my hand within minutes.
By far one of the best highlights of the whole wedding was their fantastic food. We ordered the Spiced Belly Pork for a starter which was fantastic, and we would have quite happily eaten that for the main course as well. The main course was the celebrated Beef Wellington which the chefs at Carlton Towers are very proud of and rightly so, it was gorgeous. They did ask for a little bit extra per head for the wellington but our advice to anyone would be to fork out for it because it was so worth it. Finally for dessert we had the Carlton Trio which had a little bit of everything and covered all our guests’ preferences. In the evening, Carlton prepared a hog roast along with pizza which were both delicious. All the food came out in big portions and all our guest were stuffed. Nailing the guest dietary restrictions was always going to be the most difficult part of the food planning but Carlton handled it without any problems.”
“Carlton Towers Estate is a beautiful, picturesque location and our photographer, who had never been to the estate before, was like a kid in a candy shop. We got super lucky with the weather and along with the beautiful house and gardens all our pictures came out perfectly. We especially loved all our outside pictures in front of the house which in October has stunning red vines growing along one half of the building. For entertainment we used Spectra who Carlton recommended as their DJ of choice, and he was brilliant. We picked a package which included lighting up the outside of the building in any colour we chose in the evening which really made some fantastic pictures during our sparkler send off. The inside is full of big staircases and balconies which look over the main foyer which made for stunning pictures.”
