Wedding Flower Trends for 2022
After looking into our Swarovski Crystal ball, here’s our expert wedding flower trend predictions for 2022.
Floral Arches & Walls
Flower arches/ walls have been a popular trend for weddings for years now. They are an easy way to create an impressive focal point within the venue that draws the attention of all your guests.
Some couples like the idea of having a different arch at each table, while others prefer to have one big statement arch in the center of their reception or ceremony space. Either way we LOVE them and think they will definitely be a huge trend in 2022 weddings.
They also provide great photo opportunities, which your guests will love to show off on their instagrams I’m sure!
Dried, Neutral Flowers
Dried flowers will be on the rise in 2022 wedding. They provide a great way of adding texture to the table and elevating a neutral colour palette. Simple, understated yet very effective.
Famous British designer Vivienne Westwood has been designing flower arrangements for weddings for decades. She is well known for her incorporation of dried flowers into fresh floral design. Westwood first started using dried flowers in her work when she was commissioned to design a bouquet for a client who wanted the bouquet to last as long as possible.
What a great idea to keep your wedding flowers to have and to hold for even longer.
Pink to make them wink
We will see the colour pink everywhere! From the wedding invitations to the centerpieces, everything is now available in that soft and sweet pink color. It’s not surprising that brides are opting for this color considering how versatile it is and how much it can enhance any type of design.
However, choosing this trend for your wedding doesn’t mean you should give up on other colors as well. In fact, combining pink with other colors will create a more beautiful and cohesive look, or make a statement.
Rolling with the seasons
This wedding trend will last the tale of time as every season has its own style in wedding flowers and designs.
The most popular flowers for weddings in the Winter are flowers with rich, dark colours, such as Amaryllis, Acacia, Gardenia, and Elaeagnus. In the Summer the classic roses are the way to go, bright, beautiful & the perfect symbolisation of love. In Spring you will likely see lots of yellow-coloured Marigolds and lavender-coloured Iris. And Autumn it’s all about the colours – a mixture of warm colours like green, orange or red leaves allow for a cosy autumnal feel.
