“The team at Carlton Towers were absolutely fantastic throughout the process especially the Events and Guest Relations Manager, our wedding was due to take place originally on the 4th July 2020 but due to Covid and the lockdown this had to be cancelled and moved not once but twice finally taking place on the 24th July 2021.
Thanks to Janet’s support and friendly professionalism, what was a nightmare not just for us but for everyone at Carlton Towers she managed to maintain a professionalism that would stretch even the most experienced of venue managers nothing was too much for her to sort out and the support she gave to Chris & I during this time was exceptional.”
“Carlton Towers is the perfect wedding venue in my opinion & here are my reasons:
1) The house is architecturally stunning a perfect backdrop for any photo opportunity
2) The interior feels homely yet maintains a feeling of history and grandeur nothing is cordoned off (obviously private and staff only areas are) and you can sit on the sofas, peruse the artwork and photos around the house at your leisure. This no way feels as if you are walking into a hotel (which it isn’t) you are greeted and shown to your room just as you would have as a house guest in days gone by, I would imagine. The Venetian room and picture gallery are perfect for dining, entertaining and ceremonial functions.
3) The bedrooms are all uniquely decorated, very comfortable and steeped in the family’s history. No phones or TV’s here and why you would want that, most people have a mobile phone and who needs to watch TV in such spectacular surroundings you are experiencing a time in history.
Carlton Towers does have a unique quality it does feel homely and welcoming from the moment you walk in, to that reluctant hour of departure. Lord and Lady Fitzalan Howard have managed in abundance to keep the heart and soul of this house intact and have not gone down the route of a major refurbishment which is why I think this is a unique venue not only in Yorkshire but in England.”
