PASTA LA VISTA!
Italian Cookery Workshops to Take Place in Historic Kitchen
Carlton Towers is holding a series of immersive Italian themed cookery courses this Spring based in the historic Cooks Kitchen of the Yorkshire stately home.
Aimed at beginners through to seasoned cooks the workshops promise to inspire, educate, and improve the culinary skills of participants in the art of Italian cuisine, led by Salvatore, Carlton Tower’s guest Italian Chef.
Catering for a maximum of ten people, participants will be greeted with refreshments on arrival. They will then have the opportunity of preparing their lunch in the lovely surroundings of the Cooks Kitchen, guided by Salvatore. Carlton Towers was recommissioned as an auxiliary hospital during the Second World War, and wannabe Italian chefs will see the two original black ovens installed by the army at the time, when they attend the workshops.
To round off their experience they are then invited to enjoy what they have prepared in the splendour of the Duchesses Dining Room, complete with its historic horse racing portraits and statement fireplace.
Workshops taking place are:
Italian Fine Dine Cook’s Workshop - March 24 - Learn skills to impress friends and family
Taste of Italy Cook’s Workshop - April 28 - Make the most of fresh ingredients and learn about wines that complement dishes
Pasta Coastal Cook’s Workshop - May 18 - Tips on how to prepare dishes inspired by Italy’s Mediterranean coastal towns
The workshops take place from 10:30 to 15:00 and cost £85 per person and include refreshments on arrival, all ingredients, and a welcome pack to take home, including recipes.
