A SPARKLING SUCCESS
Carlton Towers made a great impression on the regional vineyard scene after hosting the Annual WineGB Wine Challenge Members Day (2nd September 2024).
A celebration of vineyards, wines and winemakers, this event hosted members from the Midlands and North region. Carlton Towers set the scene for this event with exclusive access to the Estate, including Stables Tearoom and Walled Garden Vineyard. Members enjoyed a guided tour of the vineyard, learning more about the season and Carlton Towers’ upcoming harvest.
After the tour, members then had their chance to sample the 85 Annual Wine Challenge entries and experience the diverse styles made in the region - Including the Carlton Towers Sparkling Rosé 2022. Though the judges had chosen their winning wines, members were asked to vote for Members Choice and Best Label.
Following the tasting, the group made their way to the main house to enjoy a fantastic three-course lunch in the Picture Gallery state room. Then the announcement of awards begun, celebrating the hard work and dedication of fellow members. The Carlton Towers Sparkling Rosé 2022 Wine was awarded a Silver in the Pink Sparkling Wine category and also Members Choice 2024.
